R I P Actor John Hillerman (1932-2017)

For those of who remember the comedy drama detective show "Magnum P. I" which starred actor Tom Selleck as private detective Robert Magnum and his partner Jonathan Hughes who clashed with Magnum on the show passed away in his home in Houston Texas of natural causes. Hillerman was 84 years of age.
Hillerman starred in movies like "Blazing Saddles", "Chinatown", "Paper Moon" as well as television shows like "The Betty White Show", "Magnum P. I." and "One Day At A Time" among other television shows.
After losing Bond Girl Karin Dor this past Monday and now the passing of John Hillerman, it has been a tough week for actors that we enjoyed their work in the past bidding their farewells.

I lived in Hawaii when Magnum PI was at the height of its popularity....and I never watched it. I loved Hillerman as Howard Johnson in Blazing Saddles.

I read he retired in 1996 so no wonder I hadn't seen him in a long time.
