I feel so relieved...........I am negative!!

I do admit I am sexually active, I am not dating someone but One night stands are easy to find on Tinder..... I got scared a week ago after watching the story of a guy who ends up having an STD despite of using a condom. So I decided to quit Tinder....I hope for good this time around. I got an STD test and I am so nervous to read the result, It is negative. I feel relieved I have no STD despite of being too promiscuous. I do realized I am a mess at this point of my life. I just feel lonely that is why I resorted to Tinder. I do have a decent job and all but I feel that I have an empty void. I need a real relationship and not casual sex. I do need to quit using the Tinder app, I just deleted my Tinder account and I decided to try the dating app coffee meets Bagle which is a serious dating app and not a casual fling like Tinder.

Why not going out and searching for women without using apps? This is how it worked during my young years.

When I was a teen, I do dating that way, I think I became dependent on Tinder because it is easier to meet women who finds me attractive there than going on a guessing game.

@CaptAlbertWhisker They are surely women who are only searching for an adventure, it seems it's not what you are looking for now.

@LadyDuck Yeah I am tired of just being an adventure. Tinder is not good for finding relationship at all.

It's not called Tinder for nothing, it seems - it can light a fire in places you'd rather not have fire anywhere near... Loneliness is worse in a big city.

Yeah the candle sized fire can't keep you warm on the winter within. I think I became dependent a bit of it because it is easy to use but relationships for long term is impossible.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Beats the Singles columns in the local free weekly newspaper, I guess, for immediacy.

I know you are health conscious . . . so yes, do it for your health! I can understand the loneliness, but being promiscuous is just too risky, especially these days.

I guess living in a conservative country for a long time might have unleashed my repressed side. I know it is risky. I will give my best to not reinstall the app again.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Seriously, concentrate on finding friendships - for now. Go out and meet people personally . . . don't rely on an app or online stuff. Maybe that is out of your comfort zone, but perhaps this Tinder thing has become a comfort zone - so time to step out!

@much2say I had been sober from Tinder for weeks. I think if love will come love will come. My past relationship happened unexpectedly. I didnt even courted women it just happened. No more tinder for me though there is temptation.

It's good for you that test result was negative. Its better for you to find a real partner for yourself than to have one night stand.

I hope I will get to that, I have some problems with finding someone who can commit.

Hope you find a good relationship. Since my husband passed away in August I am totally alone but not searching and won't search for relationships but I would love to have a friend at least. So here I sit talking to myself trying to deal with my situation and hoping to sell my house and stuff here and get back to my homeland the U.S. then perhaps things will change in my life.

What is wrong with meeting someone, locally? Is that a definite NoNo?

@CaptAlbertWhisker Attractiveness is on the inside. Some of the most beautiful people every born, are hateful and extremely ugly on the inside:(
