When did you learn how to swim?

I can't even swim to save my life until now ?? but i did take swimming lessons when i was little. Any tips for a person who can't tread water? All i can do is swim with snorkelling gears and back float ??

@JustBhem yeah, it is a very useful skill in our place since we have beaches everywhere and falls, and rivers etc

When I was a child, my dad taught me how to swim in a swimming pool. Here it is common that people learn it when they are little.

@lady1993 In fact my son learned how to swim from a swimming class. But when I was little, it seemed that there were not such swimming classes and most of us were taught by our parents.
