One Human To Another

We walk through this life with a determination and forethought. I am sure we all try to be as good and positive as we can. We can touch others and they can touch us. If we let it happen. If we are open to it. During the holidays I find that goodness, mercy, consideration, love, hope, tolerance and caring are closer to the surface. We are more sensitive and aware. What do you think is the reason that this only seem to be seen during the holidays and not that much other times during the year?

There are some folks who are very nice all year round. But what about all the things we are seeing in the news?

I think if you are talking about Christmas time..it is nearly the start of a new year and people want to be good and hopeful and kind..like to start over again, maybe atone for their neglect the rest of the year.

Perhaps so. A new start.

@celticeagle we should care all the time, though we can't always afford to be materially charitable

I think it's more evident ..at holidays.. because there are more reminders everywhere to encourage us to spend money on loved ones and people we care about... without all the external memory jogging I think thinking of others gets lost in the general pace of busy lives....

I do find that most during the Christmas season. I'm quite sure it's the promise of hope the holiday brings.

Because its when baby Jesus was born, and that gives people hope. Unless you do not believe, if nt I do not know why people who do not believe celebrates Christmas.

I think It has to do with our own life, if we are ok we are more able to look at the other.
