My dog hates cats so much

We got shocked a while ago because he was barking like crazy 
and when we looked he was just trying to scare this cat who got inside our gate. Good thing he did not get too close and get injured in the encounter. 
I've never seen him bark like that, I got a bit scared.

@lady1993 aside from your dog, are there anything that disapproves of you having cats? i mean, is there somebody having allergies to cats?

Dogs and cats have always been at odds. We used to have a dog and cat that were great friends. It was rather strange to witness.

It is just your dog acting like a dog. I doubt he gets hurt if ever he gets into a scuffle with a cat.

Although, with all things being equal, I'd always have the dog win a fight over a cat.

maybe this is the nature of dogs and cats, will never be friends or goes along together... just like some siblings.
well, it just depends if the dog or cat are used to the presence of each other
