Not on here but somewhere else

Do you ever want to tell someone to wise up, and get a life? Not on here, but say, on Facebook. I have a lot of connections from a distance, and sometimes I just wish they would come to the real world. An example is someone complaining if the Post Office is closed for a holiday. Complaining because her boatload of Amazon orders will not come. Or again, complaining about the postman beginning to run late. HELLO as the holiday season gets into full swing your postman will be getting later as he will have a lot more to deliver, besides mail for you. I guess her selfish me me me posts just get to me sometimes. I should delete her, and several others.

I'd be deleting them too. Some people live such horrible difficult lives and these people worry about parcels being half an hour late. I'd like to slap some of them.

Oh YES! I can get so aggravated at times and I just went thru the other day of Facebook and deleted a few. I don't need to hear the whiny poor me all the time. I already have some family that I have to deal with that are like that. I mean I know we all have our days, but everyday 24-7 nah.

The people I would like to hear from are fighting major battles in their lives. They do not have time to whine online.

@GardenGerty Well I think truthfully everyone has a bad day or whines some, I do and admit it. When I'm feeling horrible with my health problems I can get whiny and grumpy and it can reflect in what I say.

I am not even sure why I am connected to her, but I could use her a lot less in my feed.

One of my Facebook friends (a gal I was friends with in high school) threw a fit yesterday because she doesn't like that people congratulate others when they get a new job, because that's just "part of being an adult" and shouldn't be congratulated, apparently. I wanted to smack her. I mean, of all the things to get your panties in a bunch over! What does it matter to her if others get congratulated on getting hired at a new job? I know I am guilty of ranting over stuff that is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but I have been making an effort not to be like that anymore. One of my Facebook friends' granddaughter has been battling leukemia since she was 2 years old. Another friend lost her 13 year old son a few years ago. It doesn't matter if the postman delivers my packages late, or if the repairman is late, or if something is closed for a holiday. None of that matters.

That is the point. We have it pretty good, and we need to recognize that. Maybe, like you, we have friends who are genuinely hurting and in need.

I need to go through and sort quite a few. On the other hand, I do like hearing from certain others.

Yes. Complain about lack of money, and brag about going to such and such a store every Sunday for the afternoon. Complain your only child got engaged and make sure to help ruin the relationship so he is stuck with you.

@andriaperry Her 26 year old son has a college degree, but does not drive, holds a job that is physical and not real challenging. She has never let her only child grow up.

I find the mail and public transport close down on national holidays annoying but it isn't grounds to complain about individual staff

It is what they do. It is a privilege they get for having a government job. She is a retired teacher, she got lots of the same holidays.

I originally just joined to keep up with certain family members. She orders CONSTANTLY--then talks about saving money.

People mostly do not want advice. They just want to complain.

There are plenty of young people acting like that around me. I have learned to just keep a straight face (so tempted to smack their bum! ).
