Last Friday our clinical coordinator posted in our closed group on Facebook that I should prepare an opening prayer for our reorientation on December 6,Wednesday. Ma'am CC will make the closing prayer. I commented :"Why me again? I have done that twice already?" Of course I will do that. It is a privilege to lead the opening prayer to less than a hundred persons that will include all instructors, students, and even the president and vice president of the school. We have to leave now. I and my sister are going to church. Today is her oldest daughter’s birthday.

@JustBhem it is an excuse if you can't go to church because of the weather . I know you pray at home as well.

For sure you will have a meaningful prayer to give during that event.

Happy birthday to your niece. It's a chilly day here today, but with a beautiful blue sky.

thanks for the greeting. our day this noontime was sunny but not so hot, because there was cold wind blowing.

Happy birthday to your niece. It must be because you prepare the opening prayer well. Have a good weekend further. :)

Your previous prayers must have been very good for your 'boss' to ask you to do it again this soon. Congrats.

actually, it was our clinical coordinator who requested me. the first 2 times that i led the opening prayer was with 2 different female clinical coordinators.

yes, i believe so too. when i make a prayer, i do make it simple. i don't use flowery words and i make it straight to the point.

You have done the prayer for a similar function, there are two ways of looking at this same request: either you think negatively about it, like maybe they want to pass on their responsibilities to you. Or think positively that maybe they liked your opening prayers from before that they feel like more people should witness it. The choice is yours. Happy birthday to your niece!

i take this one positively. there is no hard work or strenuous activities that i should do, but read the prayer in front of less than a hundred people. i got used to speaking in front of a crowd (i was the contestant of an oratorical contest in my senior college year), and i am confident i can do that task.

I am sure they chose you because you can lead the group into deeper prayer. Have a blessed Sunday.

thanks. i agree with your comment. besides, they chose me because some of the part-time CI's are not confident enough to speak in front of the president and students of the school.

Nothing wrong with an opening prayer, we all need to pray every day.

That's because they trust you as the best person to do it and they saw how well you did before.
