Sometimes, Two Heads Are Not Better Than One

A couple of weeks ago, we had our final exam for a course for our MBA program. During the first exam, I scored 173/200. Which is not really bad, but boy it took everything in me and I have to sacrifice lots of nights staying up late just to study the materials. For this final exam, our professor allowed us to work in groups of two. The partners will work on the same exam and will submit one answer sheet. Whatever score the answer sheets produce will be the score for both partners.
I was approached by a classmate who wanted to pair up. After emails and back and forth messages I consented and appreciated his offer. For the second exam, our final score is 152/200.
I guess the issue is since there are two of us working on the questions, we have different approaches and we have to compromise to put in each other's solutions. And this ended up messing with the final answers.
Oh well, we still manage to get a final grade of B from the course. It was really a tough course. But since there are two heads working on an exam, we had such high hopes that we will end up with high marks.

It is hard to work with someone if you do not think the same way but getting a B is good. Isn't it?
