“If you didn't need something, what would you do with it?”

It has been days that I am thinking about having a garage sale in my place. I am sure some of you know that my family and I are going to move out from our family house early next year. We were been living in this house for so many years and there are so many things to pack into piles of boxes. Regardless, I had talked with the family members to have the garage sale and the others will be donated to the church. My main concern is to have less baggage as we moved to another house for the meantime. How about you, guys? If you have a chance to sell something, what would you like to sell? It is good to sell many heavyluggages and move freely.

I agree. It is better to dispose of things that are not needed. It would be at ease to move to another house.

I've had garage sales, brought things to consignment shops, donated, gave away, or threw out.

@DianneN That's one of my game plans. Since we are moving out and it is a new beginning, it would be nice to have new things for the new house.

It would be fun remembering the old days while seeing the old stuff. I think it is a good idea because I don't want to linger on the past.

I just post it on Facebook for low price or for free. If no one wanted it I would take it to the container park.

That's also a good idea. I can get in touch some of my friends on Fb and let them have some of the items here.

@Shavkat Facebook has a feature to let you post your items for sale. People in your area would see what you are selling. It's called the market

@Shavkat Aside from having few things to carry on your new place, you can earn with them.

When I have to move, I usually go through all my stuff and check which items can be sold. Others, will be used as a gift for someone who may use some items and some are going directly to the rubbish. I have good experience selling second hand items online in a local website.

I think I need to have a checklist in sorting the items. Thank you for sharing your ideas about it. I will take note of this.

I just had a garage sale today. I was able to find some things new homes and make a little extra money. Some of it I put out in the front yard by the sidewalk with a "Free" sign and some of it is going to be donated, and some will likely go on eBay.

I think that would be a fun activity. I can't wait to do this early next year. I was hoping to gain extra cash before moving out from the old house.

I think that would be nice to sell it. Riding a bike is a good alternative for having a treadmill in the house.

The time before moving is a great time to really clean out cupboards and to try to cut down on all your belongings. It makes moving a lot easier.

Selling stuff is a great way to declutter and save a little something for a move! I dont know what I would sell. We have what we need. Ive been donating the baby items my baby is outgrowing.

I do agree with you. My little niece's clothes were started to give away. She grows so fast. I am sure the baby's mother will be delighted for giving your baby's items.
