Did I write that the painter would come?

This morning I called the painter twice and I finally got him. He will come this weekend to paint in spite of Sunday being election day. He will go to vote early and then he´ll come to finish. A great part of the job will be done on Saturday. And as the days are long, he can work more hours. He is working for a sum, so it is best for him if he finishes quicker. Every minute I see the dirty walls of the living and dining room I feel more depressed. I never knew how different the color of the walls under the paintings would be. Now all the paintings, decorative ceramic dishes and other decorations were put away. Today Leticia varnished the shelves of a wooden bookcase with shoe paste to protect them from paint drops. It seems that soon I will have to start singing "It´s beginning to look a lot like Christmas". I thought for a moment that I would have to put up my tiny tree in the terrace.
