Not What I was Expecting

Okay, I'm bummed. There are no snow flurries of any kind falling from my sky. This is the first day of Winter and I was expecting great things from the weather forecast that predicted at least 8 inches of beautiful whiteness over the course of three days, starting last night. I even postponed my pool until next week because I worried I wouldn't get out of the parking lot to get there. Ha! The jokes on me! Not a snowflake in sight. When I went to the weather channel this morning to see what was happening (you can't see anything out your windows at 4 AM) I was surprised by the lack of snow in my area, and seeing it all go north of me across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I must have been a bad girl not to get my Christmas wish for snow. Either that or everyone who had to shovel during last week's snow event has been praying against my prayer for more snow, and their prayers are being answered, while mine go unattended. When I looked at the weather site to see just what's going on here, I was even more bummed. Our three day event, has been dwindled down to tonight and tomorrow morning. Not another snowflake on the map until January 4. I sure wish I could have had a job that paid like it does a weather person, who can guess at the weather, and still get paid. On the bright side, all my Christmas shopping is done, and due to last week's weather event, we are guaranteed a white Christmas. Okay, that was my rant against the weather. Notifications are done, and since I've barely written five words this week, I'm going to get to work on New Horizons. I still want to have that book finished by February some time.
