Christmas Eve crunch time! Need a few stocking stuffers or inexpensive items to wrap up your holiday shopping.
Why not try the Dollar Store? There are so many useful items to buy there. I recently bought some Christmas Cards with a really nice greeting, and as you know, it only cost a buck!
I found this online article by the news source Cheapism of suggestions for some stocking stuffers, practical adult gifts, and kids toys you can find at those Dollar type stores. I thought I'd share them with you.
Here are some of the article suggestions:
1. Stuffed animals- bears, monkeys and bunnys are great miniature stocking stuffers.
2. Dolls and action figures- trolls, superheroes and soldiers, even barbies.
3. Toy cars- with familiar brands like Disney, Matchbox and Hot Wheels.
4. Glow sticks- what kid doesn't like those bendable bracelets and necklaces.
5. Socks- some stores carry thermal of boot socks, a nice winter treat.
6. Candles- tea lights, large jar, and even battery operated ones.
7. Craft supplies- crayons, coloring books, water color sets and Play-Doh
8. Picture frames- a variety of sizes.
9. Mugs- who would turn down something to put their coffee into.
10. Phone cases and headphones.
Now there is a useful Christmas list that won't break you bank!
Can you think of any other gift suggestions from you Dollar Store experiences?

They have such a variety. Like the old 5 & 10 cent stores. Great concept!

I see people with shopping carts full of stuff at the checkout. One thing I would recommend to their management is to open up an express lane with a 8 item limit like other stores do.

I did stop in our dollar store for stocking and got some cool tools, and household items for my adult kids.

I try to buy cleaning supplies there whenever I can. Who wouldn't like some bleach or Mr. Clean for Christmas?

@dgobucks226 - Of course, it's a gift that could be totally misconstrued.

I love them for holiday accessories!
They had some really cute Troll related things when I visited last. plus santa and elf hats.
A huge bag of jingle bells for 1 compared to the 3$ walmart was asking. The bells looked identical, it was only a slight difference in the label!

They are definitely very competitive in a lot of the items they sell. I also like the fact that the quantity of some items better fit one's budget. Sounds like you got some terrific deals there.
