Social media is the modern trend to express the ideas and opinions for everybody today. Even News papers also check the twitter and Facebook account of celebrities to know what they are saying or getting what images they shared to the public. But it is like a two sided sword. Personal attacks and humiliation is more on social medias. Anybody can humiliate a person in social medias. If you are noticed that somebody is humiliating you in social media or blackmailing you what will you do? Image: Pixabay .com

I would immediately report to the police the offender.

Recently there are similar cases here. Police have some limitations to track down the culprits. Because there are more people engaged in expressing bad comments.

@shshiju We have an online form to submit to the police for everything concerning Internet. If the site is visible in Switzerland and someone living here is targeted, they take care.

If we give the same manner of words that they are used then what is the difference between with the two. Blackmailing should be reported first. Because it is the first step and we can able to prevent it becoming like a cancer.

I will definitely block the person involved in cyberbullying. Regardless, I am so careful in posting things on social media.

Yes that is the first step we can do. But if a group is behind the bullying there is the possibilities of sharing it to other platforms.

I will report him / her and block them. Ignoring and tolerating such activities is complacency these days. There is no excuse for it.

Yes there are no excuse for it like a crime. In India there are some similar cases. Recently a celebrity complaints about a personal attack through social media and a teenager was arrested.

Good question. I would try and report it to the ones in charge and if they do not do anything I would ask a friend on the site what to do.

I don't know if myLot is considered a social media site but it's the only one I'm on so hopefully I won't be humiliated or blackmailed here.

Actually I forget about MyLot as a social media. Here there are not any unpleasant things to me. I think humiliation most occurred in FB and Twitter.

@shshiju I have seen the horrible things that are sometimes said on FB which is why I never use it. I find it hard to believe people can be so unkind.
