That image of a snowflake doesn't mean snow.

For the past two days my accuweather app, which I have set to a zipcode about ten minutes away from me, has been showing a snow flake. I go to more details and it show no precipitation what so ever. Snow, rain, sleet, ice..Nothing. The weatherman out of Atlanta had been saying we could have snow Friday but now it appears it will just be too frigid for all of that. All I know is that this accuweather app has me wanting the snow that I don't feel we have gotten enough of this year. I know there are just as many people tired of it as there are those that are looking forward to it. We just do not see enough of that white powdery fluff down here in the South East. In fact, we see too much ice.

Ice is worse than snow, here it's not very cold right now.

Yes ice is so much worse. We have so many places in the yard where run off from rain accumulates, and those places freeze over so quickly in the winter.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We also have some cold spots where the ice forms immediately in winter.

@LadyDuck They make nice little mud puddles for the kids in the rainy season, but definitely a dangerous inconvenience in the cold months. It used to be better covered, we had rock / gravel down there but years have found those rocks diminishing.

We see too much ice and not enough snow in this part of England, but then I live on what would have been an island before the Fens were drained hundreds of years ago and most of the area is below sea level. Thus, a lack of snow. It always seems to skirt by us.

I read on Facebook that people in Georgia and SC got snow. It missed me thank goodness. I love Accuweather, but sometimes they are wrong.

Accuweather seems to be one of the more accurate around here, but I've also been following whatever the airports say. That seems the most accurate, atleast to me.
