I wrote this poem a few weeks ago, and today I decided to share it with you all. From the car you use to visit your family on the other side of town To the phone you use to talk to your friends on the other side of the planet From the plane taking you to visit those same friends, To your wristwatch, making sure you don’t miss your flight Your grandfather’s power chair, your grandmother’s hearing aid, their pacemakers Things that help the elderly and disabled live long, fulfilled lives Video games and television to help you relax after a long and stressful day And to teach your children good morals and motor skills Computers of all kinds, all over the world Creating art and music, advancing science and medicine Improving the lives of everyone Thank you, technology.
