Need to renew Anti-Virus/Internet Security software... which to get?

I used to have Kaspersky Internet Security on my laptop. I got it from the same store that I bought my laptop. My yearly subscription expired January 4th. They no longer deal with Kasperksy, so the only way to renew is directly with Kaspersky.
I am not sure if I should renew with them or switch to another anti-virus, Internet security software. The renewal rate they gave me per year was around sixty to seventy bucks a year, which is a bit much in my opinion. I never paid that much through the store I got it at. They did offer to give me a three year renewal though, where I pay it all in one shot and hence end up paying about forty bucks a year, which saves me money. That's a good price. It is tempting to renew but is it worth it? Or is there something better and more affordable?
I told them I don't want to renew today and they told me that this promotional offer may not be available later if I change my mind. Oh well. Don't want to rush into it. My computer has no protection though as of today... so have to hurry up and get something. Better safe than sorry.
