So it's not...

I was told by a doctor that I have "spinal stenosis" which I was also told was caused by a narrowing of the "tunnel" down the middle of my backbone that squeezes on the spinal cord.
Today I had an appointment with a specialist, and had some x rays.
When the doctor showed me my x rays--though I couldn't see it as well as he could--he showed how a couple of my vertebrae are out of line--kind of like kids stacking block crooked--and that that is what is causing my spinal stenosis.
Oi.
So...yeah. The Dr. prescribed a pain medication and I see him again in five weeks. He said I may need surgery down the road, but not for the time being.

I'm sorry you had a bad day. I hate when people tell us what we "need to do." That time of month always makes everything worse!
I hope you don't end up needing surgery and that your back pain subsides.
