Diary Saturday 6th January 2018
A lovely evening followed a fairly mundane day. Friends invited me to a dinner party, which was a really lovely event. About twelve of us attended and I got a lift to and from the house.
The main meal was a traditional Lancashire Hot Pot with beetroot and red cabbage. This was followed by apple pie with custard and a cheese platter.
We completed some quiz questions our hosts were completing for a charity raffle. Between us we helped get them all the answers. It was quite a tough quiz.
My thanks to my lovely friends.

A quiet day in, writing, relaxing, watching TV and not much more.

That sounds like a very generous meal. I have never heard of those accompaniments to a Lancashire Hot Pot but then in this part of the country we only tend to get the ready meal versions.

Glad you had a nice evening with your friends. I love spending time with my friends and enjoying each other's company. My Sunday has been lazy and right now I'm watching the football game.
