Favorite Funk Songs #3 - "Dazz"

We return you now to our regular funk programming with #3 in my countdown of my favorite funk songs: "Dazz" by Brick. During a discussion with @crossbones27 earlier today, it was brought up that both punk and funk are hard to fake. You either have it or you don't. When it came to funk, these guys have it (oh yes, they are still going!) Atlanta, Georgia's Brick is the result of a 1972 merger of members of both a disco and a jazz band (get it? "Dazz?") Talk about starting things off with a bang! Brick's 1976 debut album, Good High, reached #19 on the Billboard 200, and #1 on that magazine's R&B chart. Even more impressive, "Dazz" reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and spent four weeks atop the R&B Singles chart. (Not to mention, here we are, 41 years later, and it's still considered a funk classic. Bona fide.) I've linked to a performance of the song from Soul Train. Enjoy!
