Good thing he couldn't become a terrorist

Was thinking this morning about my first husband. I tend to ponder weird things when I first wake up while having my coffee. I think people alone tend to do that. Back 50 yrs ago, he used to make fun of me with his drinking buddies, when I went to church or took the kids to Sunday school. After 9 yrs of his drinking and being a mommas boy, letting her run our life, I left him. He soon got "tricked" into marriage thank goodness and left me alone about coming back to him. 30 yrs ago he and his wife joined church. They banned television from their house, except for watching "Little house on the Prairie " with antenna and his sports of course Every time you are on the phone with him he goes on and on about the lords work and how holier then thou he is. But the worst thing is, his hate of the internet. He says it's the devil. What I don't understand is how he can get along without it. Everything you do these days (almost) requires the internet. He screamed at our son once when that one visited to get that computer out of his house. Now that's just crazy. and btw, mostly he texts instead of calling on his wifi phone! I truly believe if he was able at his 73 yrs. he would be a terrorist .

I had a friend who was hard up on money. Since she was already playing games on her phone, I told her about some of these sites where she could make that little extra bit of money (like Swagbucks), but she said "Oh no, that's working with the devil" .

@much2say exactly. when i would try and question him about such things he would just ignore it and go on with some other conversation. lol

@bunnybon7 Right? I don't understand - because it's so hypocritical. You can do this, but you can't do that - even though it's related .

This man is okay with texting but not computers? He sounds like an awful person I wish you didn’t have to deal with him at all.

Let's face it, the internet can be an evil thing if we let it. But the key is not to let it overtake our lives. As much as I would prefer us getting rid of all this technology, it's not the technology that's evil, it's how we use it. Just like money. Money is not evil, it's our love of money that's evil. Just gotta see things from the right perspective! And right now, I see that my pot of coffee is ready to drink! haha Hope you have a great day! I'm going to fill my body with some nice hot coffee to wake me up!

Sounds kind of radical to me. At least you no longer have to live with him. BTW lucky your son is grown because as a child he could have been influenced by his dad.

@bunnybon7 I don't know why people decide these things and then make everyone else know about it and a lot of times try to change everyone around them. His life sounds kind of sad.
