I decided to join a challenge that is going on in a group here. A no wheat challenge for a month it’s already 2 weeks and I feel like I’m being tortured. Sometimes I run out of food options but I still get something which I’m not willing to take but I have to. Have you tried such a challenge and how did you manage? Anyone?

My Whole30 plan doesn't have breads or grains in it, and I've managed quite well. I eat more potatoes.

@aureliah I love my bread, but I can live without it for a while.

I would not be able to do it..I have bread in some form every day. I guess it would help if I could eat potatoes though.

Yeah try some sweet potatoes and oatmeal to reduce on wheat intake. Smoothies also

Have you researched this? I had an idea that stopping wheat products all together can result in the body rejecting it when you go back on it which isn't a good thing. But I may be wrong. I remember once when I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

Yeah its safe since we only do it for one month maximum twice a year. So its all good.

I have not tried it, mostly because I cannot afford to, But having gluten free stuff doesn't sound too bad, I like a lot of it, it is just expensive haha

@aureliah I don't have gluten all that often because I have hypothyroidism and have to cut down on carbs. I'm just saying that living like that can get expensive.

@DesirousDreamer Yeah eating healthy can in fact be quite expensive at times.

But its good to limit it once in a while. It does some good for the body.
