What’s this camel doing?

I thought of @Ronrybs when I saw this. We visited London recently and as we walked along a street just off the Marylebone road I noticed this golden statue of a camel. It seemed odd because I can’t think of any association with the name of the pub (Skinners arms) or the street (Judd street).
It also seems odd that in such an expensive area, this building is only one storey high with the camel on top, whereas on either side of it the buildings are four stories higher.
The pub website mentions that the pub name is a throwback to the days when the area was full of cattle markets and tanneries, but no mention of the camel, and it’s hard to believe they skinned many camels around there.
Anyone got any ideas? I can post a better close-up of the camel below.

even the pub website doesn't explain the camel - very curious

It's odd indeed but I do hope you find the story behind the camel being up there.

I guess it is part of the history of the business.

Hmmm... you say the building behind the camel is a pub? Maybe the camel has finally had enough to drink and is wandering away?
Otherwise, I have no clue.
