I came across this article from Taste of Home about the world's biggest restuarant franchise. Here are some fun facts and clues about this chain. -In 1965 with $1,000 borrowed from a guy named Peter Buck, 17 year old Fred De Luca formed Pete's Super Submarines. -The restuarant was opened in Bridgeport, Conneticut eventually changing their name to this well-known franchise. -There are now 40,000 plus locations around the world. -According to the Business Insider, this restaurant is the least expensive to franchise. -There is one of these eateries on every continent except Antarctica. -The total number of sandwiches made daily by all of these chains around the globe is somewhere around 7.6 million. So, join the crowd and chow down with the other 5,300 people worldwide who eat one of their sandwiches per minute. Now that I have provided some clues would you care to venture a guess as to who is the biggest restaurant chain? Maybe your town has one? Answer to follow... @dgobucks226 Subway is in Switzerland but only in the north of the country, in the German speaking Switzerland. Not here in the south. Also in Italy there are only a few in the major cities.

@LadyDuck I see! There is not a day that goes by watching TV where I don't come across at least one commercial for Subway, or at least it seems that way to me?

Oh good grief @dgobucks226 I forgot about that. Yes, it was a real shock considering how Subway actually made him famous for a while.
