Digestive nightmare today

Feel free to skip this post if you are in the middle of a scrumptious meal as this can turn very nasty really quick. So I was about to go on my twice weekly commute to the city for work. Parked my car at the train station, and waited for my train. Because of recent track works, my usual 50-minute travel would now take an hour and a half. Suddenly my tummy started feeling funny. I was like, "Uh-oh" Rumbles Gurgles Crampy Drove home and called it a day. Imagine if I have gone on the train, and it happened? Shat myself right there infront of 300 people? Have you eaten way too many leftovers it made you sick the next day?

It would have been embarrassing, but there was nothing you could do to stop it.

I'm glad I decided to go home but I also worry about what my boss thinks of me - always missing work.

@LadyDuck About a year into it. I feel nervous that this will affect my performance evaluation

In my case these days I think I've been having this hemorrhoids that makes me hard to dump. Good thing you went home, that was a good call.

Oh no! That can't be good. Most of the time the lack of fibre in our diet causes it. There are treatments for it.

We're human, it happens. I have the same reaction if I eat too many vegetables (it's not unusual for me to polish off a big tray of raw vegetables while watching The Superbowl). Fortunately when I've done that, I've been at home, and not out. I was ale to get to my toilet within seconds.

My worst fear is to sh*t my pants in front of people. I constantly have nightmares about it.

Was that what did it? I often get super scared when my stomach starts gurgling weirdly!

Can't tell. Seems like anything can set it off these days. It's very frustrating and worrisome at the same time. I've gone to my dietitian and they all think I need to see a shrink. How come they always go down that path straight away?

That would be a horrible experience, that's why Ialways make sure to have loperamide when I'm in travel.

I have a bag full of emergency pills with me at all times, especially for diarrhea. But it didn't work at all.

I used to experience this so many times especially after attending parties. i have a very sensitive stomach and always have to watch out what i eat. I had to stop eating at parties or where too much food is cooked to be on the safe side. Hope you are feeling better now.

Had noodles with some funky pickled cabbage in it. I think that might be the cause.
