Holly and Hazel -2 become 1

Over the weekend it was a sad time because we lost one of our rabbits. Holly (the grey bunny) passed away, and so over the weekend we buried her. We knew it was going to happen at some point as they are not young bunnies anymore, but she was suffering from a respiratory condition and had not eaten for a few days. She was very thin and she died through the night.
It is very sad, and not least for Hazel, who is now left on her own. We had to separate them from the age of about 1 year because they were constantly chasing each other and mounting one another! They are both girls, but apparently this is perfectly normal. Hazel is already missing Holly though, and they used to see one another each day as they were in the same partitioned 'run' as one another.
Hopefully Hazel will not mope around for too long, and she is already hoping, skipping and jumping around the garden each day.

Never good to replace a bunny when they are together like this. I got Coco after they had both passed sadly.

i didn't know even female rabbits do that. but it does sound like hazel is adjusting to the loss.

I have no words for this comment. Other than "have you even read my article?"
