Shelves Cleared

Do you ever go to a store for an item you really like, only to arrive and the shelf was cleared by a person before you?
Do you think the person should report to a sales clerk that the shelf was cleared? Do you think the store should have enough in stock when the store knows it is a good seller?
For example, I like to buy flavored coffee at Dollar Tree. It is going on 3 weeks now that the shelf has been cleared before I have gotten there. If it such a good seller, why is the store not prepared? I had to go to a major grocery store and buy 2 bags of coffee for $10.00. With $10.00, I could have bought 10 bags at Dollar Tree. See why I am mad?
I e-mailed the Dollar Tree headquarters with a complaint. I don't want to be a trouble-maker, but they need to know.
Have you ever had a shelf-clearing problem?

Stores have limited shelf space. It isn't a perfect world either, but yes, I find it frustrating when something I want that I saw on a shelf isn't there when I go back. Dollar General is terrible in that way, if you see something you want, you better grab it immediately, because odds are it won't be there when you go back.

This happens a lot here when popular items are available for a good price. People just wipe them out. Sometimes it's one person who wipes the whole shelf out. I do think stores ought to be prepared for things like that. After all, they are losing money by not keeping their shelves stocked.
