Did mom really need that pizza cutting kit?

Did you know 70% of the worlds shopping is done by women but 70% of the world’s money is earned by men? Well it’s true and women love to spend it! But men know that if the try to curtail that retail instinct in a marriage or a family their lives would be made hell.
I was around my mums the other day and she proudly told me she had bought a ‘pizza cutting kit’ for £4.00. She doesn’t like pizza and has, and never will, make pizza. But she thinks she has a bargain and that’s all that matters. Women love a bargain and the marketers know that. My mom house is full of stuff like this that we all know will end up in the carboot/ swop meet for a buck.
When men shop we are practical. We know what we want and what we want to pay and where to go. We know what we want the thing for and when we will use it. This is why we ask people exactly what they want for birthdays and Christmas. We don’t like surprises around retail. This is why tell you what we want for those birthdays and Christmases. Women, on the other hand, like to roam freely in the town center shops and retail parks like a wildebeest, just in case they missed something, like a pizza cutting kit.

Goodness, as per your description I start to fear to be a man in disguise. I hate surprises, I hate to roam in the shops, I only buy what I need and I know exactly what I want. This is why I have an Amazon wishlist that my friends and family can check.

Hm. I must be a man then. Let me check. Nope, still female.
It's true - a lot of women love to make frivolous purchases and shop til you drop. As long as it hurts no one - who am I to say it is wrong.
I know a lot of men who spend money they don't have on the newest, latest, greatest gadgets which they don't really need - while the women in their lives are spend-thrifts.
The "on sale" gimmick works on both genders. I've seen it.

I'm one women that her husband outspends all the time, I really dont care much for shopping. He is always coming home with things and I just roll my eyes as I do like spoiling him, he is a great husband and works hard. About the only time I like shopping is shopping for the house, meaning Lowe's as we are redoing the house.

It's kind of different with my family. My mom was the one who was earning a lot of money and rarely spent it. Though my dad was earning too it was my mom's brain that made their respective businesses to succeed. So my parents raised us to be entrepreneurs of our own as well and not to spend money. I remember, my brother telling my sister long time ago that he didn't care who she marries as we can provide for our own husbands.
