Here in the USA gradually those people got some rights thru the years. But, they are not enough! And now we have a president that does not like handicapped or disabled adults and children alike!. He is slowly but surely removing our assistance and rights.. I understand too that countries such as India and other countries have no right's or assistance for handicapped and disables citizens at all.. That is very sad also. However I have been informed that International Government can assist. And I think they should. What do you think?

Here in our country, we honor people who are handicapped and disabled. Like me, I consider as a Person With Disability because I have a Kidney Failure. And we have all the rights here.

Great consideration! I wish they did here, we are looked down upon. Yes, my mom has only one kidney and she has to be careful! I hope you are getting great medical treatment! What are they doing, if you don't mind me asking?

In India, handicaps never had any right because constitution do not give any right. During Constitution Assembly, Maharaja of Bharatpur and Alwar tried to support the cause of Disable people, Orphan, needy alike; but they were arrested. And made Ambedkar, the hater of disabled a backdoor entry; resulting in eliminating of Disabled Rights. It is always International pressure which gives disabled in India something. Struggle is always what handicapped people have to do.

@dfollin In India, when British rule ended, corrupt people took over with help of Nehru and Mountbatten; they wanted freebies for themselves, none of them was supporter of freedom struggle; their leader was Ambedkar; they made all benefits ment for disabled/orphan to be put in schedule of constitution, and under those schedule, they included their own communities as Caste and Tribe to be benefited. So those Castes and Tribes become Scheduled Castes and Tribes; they got all the benefit as their birth right which was actually for disabled and orphan.

I remember him one time mocking some one that is disabled, a reporter I think. Even in my country, some roads for the disabled are being disregarded.
