Scented products

I like scented products but not if the fragrance is too strong. My sister-in-law was given some things as gifts when she left her last job. She has a tube of very rich, lovely triple moisture body cream that she has shared with me, because the fragrance is too strong for her. I like it, but it is very powerful. I put a tiny bit on my hands and I had to go wash it off. It left my hands feeling smooth and silky, and I still smell it. I will put it to good use. So how about you, do you buy scented products for your body and hands? Perfumes give some people headaches and also make it hard for others to breathe or causes them to break out. I like them but try to make sure not to wear them around sensitive people.

Perfumes give me headaches, I like a little Cologne and I never use hand lotions with a fragrance, I fear to transmit the smell to the food I prepare.

I will put this on my feet at bed time. I will sometimes use a little bit of essential oil in water to spray on.

@LadyDuck Mostly I use no scent. Not in the laundry at all.

I absolutely do not like strong scents and many scents give me a migraine so I have to be very careful.

That is why I do not wear them much. Some cause me headaches, some cause others headaches or breathing problems. This body cream will go well on my feet at bedtime. I love how it makes my skin feel.

I have discovered that no one is allergic to gift cards. A teacher in our hallway had a delicious smelling Scentsy warmer going, and I coughed and coughed all day. There is not a lot of fresh air circulation in his room and he sees three different double classes for music. I understand how he feels his room need smell help, but it did not do me much good.

I use a certain deodorant and a certain cologne (and sometimes a touch of patchouli). The combination throws women around me into spontaneous ecstasy, but they don't know what's causing it, as I'm subtle with my use of scented products. I just smile politely until the frenzy subsides. I can't stand any scent that's too strong. I get a headache.

Most people do not even know what Patchouli is anymore. Man that brings back memories. It does not give me headaches but other scents do.

I don't like too strong a scent either. It must be quite difficult if you are one of those who are sensitive.

I do best with just plain essential oils. I can use this lovely cream on my feet at bedtime though and feel luxurious.

@TheHorse Yes, this is a cream called Oahu Coconut Sunset, I believe. From Bath and Bodyworks. It is very moisturizing, but the fragrance is powerful. I tried to wash it off my hands and it still lingered. I can do okay with it on my feet, though.

I like some scents but a lot of them are too strong. Then there are certain ingredients that just kill me. I'm not sure what they are, but as soon as I get a whiff I get a severe headache and/or can't breathe. And it's odd: I can smell a rose no problem, but most things that are rose-scented will affect me adversely.

Most rose scented items get their scent from chemicals, real rose oil is very costly. I do not have breathing problems but I do get headaches and such.

I like scented products that have mild and natural scent. I can't stand strong smell as I get allergic reaction to them. I would sneeze a lot and then have running nose.

For me it has to be the right scent. I do not wear scent to work because I worry that it might make others feel bad.

I like scented products, but my partner doesn't, so I tend to stay with light florals.

When I was in the habit of wearing fragrance I had never figured out what I liked and just used them randomly. I would say I like some florals, fruity, and woodsy scents.

I like scented things too. I have a disinfectant for my flooring which I like very much. Then I have my perfume Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea and my Yardley soap and talcum powder. I like the smell of freshly washed clothes. I like the smell of clothes that come from the laundry.
