The W2 Waiting Game

I liked when I was self-employed and could do my taxes when I wanted. No waiting for W2s. Now that I'm no longer working for myself I'm at the mercy of my employer. Of course they are at the mercy of the law and must get the W2s delivered by January 31st. Then there's the fact they are making those getting earned income credit and/or child tax credit wait even longer so they can weed out the cheaters. Don't blame the IRS, blame that guy or gal claiming money they never made and their three invisible kids. If you're getting a refund big enough to pay for a Lear jet in cash, something ain't right!
