Church This Morning

Okay, this isn't so much about church itself, but the drive there and back.
With the weather we've had in the last 24 hours or more, the roads were snow covered, and that meant there just might be some treacherous spots between home and church and vice versa.
It wasn't too bad getting to church. I did skate a little bit on those roundabouts, but nothing serious. However, on the way home, I wasn't going too fast knowing the roads were only a little better than the ride in, as the sun was out and doing its magic on the roads. As I hit a roundabout my car really skated. I was very happy I wasn't in any danger of hitting anyone or getting hit. Not many people are out on the roadways yet. However, I did end up going full circle around the roundabout before I got going straight forward.
Right now there's not a cloud in the sky. The sun is shining on all that pristine whiteness, and from what I heard, at least at church, we got 6 inches. That does make me a very happy person.
Pastor did say he also had a patch where he nearly got into an accident on the way to church this morning.
So the roads were a bit treacherous going, and better coming back except for the one patch I ran into.
That was my morning commute. Are you in this storm system? How are your roads?
Thanks for reading. Picture mine, just taken.

Thank you. It was a scary moment when the car went into a near 360 skate around the roundabout. It would have but the roundabout itself stopped it, for which I was very happy as my heart settled back into place and I got back in the direction I needed to go, which was to proceed around the roundabout and then head in the forward direction I intended to go.

I am glad you are OK. We got probably an inch or two of snow today. I am not sure how slippery it is. I will know when I walk to work tomorrow.

@MsBooklover As long as people are safe, that's what matters most.

@just4him I hope so, too. Of course, my partner in work hates the salt because it is inside many buildings and then he has to clean it up. What a mess.

That's a nice day. This morning I woke to -3 with wind chills at -20. I didn't go to the pool. My car takes too long to warm up with those temps.
