Normally, I wouldn't go to the gym with temperatures in the 20s and the wind chills in the teens during this time of year. But I did brave the cold and walked on the snowy and icy sidewalks, on and off, both ways. Since I have 2 full months left of my membership starting this week, I'm going to make the most of it, in spite of the weather.
I arrived on time with five minutes to spare before 4 PM. I've warmed up in the warm leisure pool with one lap each of the regular and elementary back stroke.
Then I've did 2 full laps of the breast stroke (4 half-laps). It was a bit better than last week, going slower, working on my breathing, and my feet touching less on the ground. I'm not ready to pick up the pace yet. Maybe at another time, I'll reach that level.
Even Paige was happy with that, even if I've struggled a little bit to touch the wall.
Lastly, I did 6 full laps of the back stroke with 3 flip turns to swim the other way.
This Thursday's weather looks the same as today's. And a week from today, I won't have to worry about a conflict of interest with my writing group and lunch. I'll be home at 2 PM and have time to get ready and do some light editing. And then I'll leave around 3:35 PM. According to the weather for next week, it would be partly cloudy and 46 degrees!
I did finish my Upwork assignment this morning and sent it out this afternoon. I also did hear back from Rachel last Thursday with this message: "I'm glad you're getting longer distances! Breast stroke seams to be a good stroke for you." So we'll see what she says next.

Are you going to renew your gym membership after these two months run out?

Not sure yet. I'll decide when it's closer to time, like March 25th, 2018.
