Cutting vegetables is a process in cooking. Everyone likes to cook their own food it gives much happiness when we cook our own .my mom used to take my help in cutting vegetables for her to finish cooking. But when I cook I do it myself. I love cutting vegetables different shapes. Even though so many machine are there for cutting I do prefer to cutting with a knife for myself on tray. It happiness when we do cooking with help of some, increase bonding relationship with them too. Do you take help of my husband/wife or daughter someone else in family.?.or just cut vegetables by yourself.?.share friends ;)

@amadeo that's okay :).most of them say to soak them in water for one hour .I tried it but onions absorbed more water and the curry doesn't tasted well .it's better to soak it for few minutes I think Thank you for response.enjoy your cooking friend

I do things on my own even if I am tired specially after office. Don't mind giving trouble to others.

@Icydoll Thanks for calling me Kavi my husband calls me by that name, he is a fabulous cook. You won't believe I was the one who never knew cooking in the first place after marriage it was a big surprise for him. He thought me most of the things and even prepared for a few months also. Now I don't give him trouble as you know how a typical Indian Wife's are towards their Husbands. Anyways you married?

I don't mind cutting vegetables by myself. I have sharp knives just for that. I also use a mandolin for making fancy cuts for guests.

I eat a lot of vegetables, but I honestly dislike cutting them up - anyway it is something that must be done - and I do it alone.

Sometimes my kids want to help me to cut the vegetables, then I'll let them cut. Otherwise, I will just do it myself. I don't use any machine, as I don't have them, and I also think it's fun to cut it ourselves. Sometimes when my husband cook, I prepare the food and cut the vegetables for him, so it's easier for him.

When I am cooking, I also do all the slicing. That way, I make use of the time while waiting for the meat or the fish to cook.

I am both ways, but I work faster by myself. In my kitchen I am too possessive to share, so if someone is helping they have to stay out of my kitchen. Cooking is a lot of 'me tine' for me
