Nick name or character trait?

Someone recently posted about nick names. I've never really had one, but a while back my grandson and I were talking about what we should be called. His name should be "Please, just one more minute..." That's what he often says when I tell him it's time to get off the computer. I said that my name should be "Eventually" because, well, that's when I usually get things done. My husband is "Yesterday." He wants everything done yesterday. No patience at all. My daughter is "No Gray Area." She does not suffer fools and life is either right or wrong, black or white. No gray. My son is "Lighten Up." He always has a sense of humor and even when he was little and I was fussing at him, he could get me laughing. I'd tell him that even though I was laughing, he was still in trouble. Can you think of character traits that could be nick names for you or your family?

@1creekgirl He is more than a perfectionist, sometimes a bit too much.

Mine would be 'Well, it seemed like a good idea at first...'.

People at church used to call me Smiley because I always looked sad. I didn't like that.

@1creekgirl They were. But I suffered from deep depression, as a child, and well into my teen years. I hardly ever talked, and I avoided socializing as much as possible.

I think my nickname might end up as more of a sound than words. Perhaps a startled cry of fear, morphing into a low wail of desperation. I really need to change that. Interesting post, causing self examination, something we can all stand to do at times.

This is a hard one. My nickname is Gooby but I've no idea what character trait would suit me.

@1creekgirl It was an indiscriminate stuffed toy in a novel. When the little girl was asked why she called the thing Gooby she said 'I call it Gooby 'cause it looks like a Gooby, don'tcha Gooby'. My sister thought I looked like a Gooby so it stuck for a number of years.

I do not have a nickname but I think mine would be "Worry Wart' - I worry about everything. My son might be called "Mr. Cool" - I hardly ever see him lose his temper.

It's easy to worry about things, isn't it? Sounds like your son has a great disposition!

I could think of one for everyone that I know . Hubby: "Things will work out somehow" - he's the optimistic one. Me: "Chameleon" - I seem to adjust my persona depending on who I'm with. Daughter: "Hold on - in a minute" - daily words from an almost 13 year old. Son: "Where did I put it" - 8 year old who never remembers where he puts things .
