My niece, our smiling baby, was sick and was taken to the hospital yesterday. The doctor said she had little bit of malaria. She came back looking healthier than when she went to the hospital. Some people go to the doctor and they start recommending to the doctor. Isn’t that stupid! If they knew better than the doctor, why did they visit his office in the first place? They know all the supplements and health teas the doctor never heard of. I wish they would be doctors. Hello. Don’t mind me. I just have a personal beef with people who think they know better than others. Have you had to deal with anyone like that?

there is also the opposite, who just nod at everything, but don't really understand the doctor's instructions, then go about doing it wrong.

That would really make the doctor frustrated. Imagine being told to take two tablets daily and the patient ends up taking one tablet two times a day. oh my! There we go! @hereandthere

@mydanods @akrao24 what usually happens is they go to another doctor and criticize the first doctor

Yes.There are a lot of people who diagnosed themselves at WebMD and wants their diagnosis by the the doctor. There's no problem that you wanted to know about your condition, the problem comes when you will become uncooperative and argue endlessly regarding your treatment.

@mydanod What I mean is that people are searching their symptoms in the internet like webMD,before going to the doctor. That way they are diagnosing their own illness. They are are even making doctors as their secretaries by asking to prescribed them this and that medicine.

How can someone diagnose themselves at WebMD? I know of WebMD but I did not know it carries out diagnosis. @kareemadivina

@kareemadivina Okay. Now I understand. Everybody does it once in a while but I don't think a doctor will take kindly to a patient telling him what to prescribe just because he read an article on WebMD.

It is indeed annoying. Sometimes I just keep silent just to end up the conversation because it is hard to argue with such kind of people.

Sometimes silence is a good medicine. I don't usually argue with people like that.

I think in many times docs don't know that much how to help human beings.. sadly to say there are always interests.. :I

But they have a code that they live by, the hammurabi code to do the best for their patients whatever their interests.
