Sick of Being Sick AGAIN

My hubby was the first one to get sick, again and he ended up spreading it to me and our son. It really took a toll on me especially. I ended up at the emergency room because I became nauseous, was in pain, had the chills, sweating profusely, and has some major swelling in my neck. When they finally called me to the back they swabbed my nose to test for the flu which was negative so it wasn't the flu. I was extremely dehydrated so I was put on IV fluids with 2 IV bags. I also got meds for nausea and for swelling and inflammation. The lump did not go away. I was sent for a CT scan and a chest x-ray. When the doctor finally came back to tell me what she thought was wrong she told me it wasn't the flu but that my lymph nodes were swollen and that the lump in my neck was from a salivary gland but that there was no salivary stone blocking it. The doctor said it could be indicative of mono or maybe it could be lymphoma which scared me a little. She said I have to follow up with a primary physician. My white cell count was fine so I am positive it isn't lymphoma. Hopefully we get cleared for medicaid soon and I can get this all checked out.
