Have you literally confessed your greatest sin?

It's so hard to admit to someone or to a priest that you had done something bad in the past but I just did few weeks ago when I visited a shrine during my vacation. I cried during that time and I'm just happy now that I have finally confessed it and believed that I have been forgiven. Have you done the same?

I will be having my confession on First Friday , when we have a mass in the chapel of the mall that we manage, in preparation for the Easter Sunday.

@SIMPLYD I see. I have confessed to a priest for about 4 times only I think. I am actually not a Catholic but my religion's practice is like the Catholics except the Confession. I just learned few years ago through the Divine Mercy Chaplet how important the Sacrament of Confession is. So that's why...

That's good. How do you confess? Do you enumerate your mistakes?

Nope, I don't believe in sinning. I have enough anxiety in my life to worry about having to follow rules in a book.

That's strange, you don't believe in sinning. But do you believe in GOD?

@renicemae No, I am closer to Paganism, but that is just a security blanket.

@DesirousDreamer Why? When you say your close to Paganism, you mean you have no religion? Having no religion at all I think is okay coz I believe that religion alone cannot save us from damnation. It's what we do and we can be saved by our faith. But you also don't believe that we have a Creator?

I'm a Catholic but I've never done confessing my sins to a priest.

Why? I'm no catholic but I go to mass in a Catholic Church. Back then, I don't want to confess my sins to a priest too because you know, they're just humans and they too are capable of sinning so why confess to them? But a relative of mine shared to me the story of "Stanley Villavicencio" regarding his encounters with GOD. There I learned the Divine Mercy and the importance of Confession. If you have time, try to research Stanley Villavicencio's story. He's a Filipino too residing in Cebu City who encountered GOD many times. It's very inspiring and life changing.

@renicemae Really you're not a Catholic but you confessed with a priest, good for you. What's your religion then? I'm really not used to confess my sins to a priest. What do you mean that he encountered God many times? How did he encounter God?

I confess direct to God in my private prayers. That's what I learned from the Bible. Confess sins directly to God in private prayer.

If you have time to read this, please do so that you'll have an understanding of how important confession is. You may directly read through the interview portion. There you can find answers.
