my breakfast

Happy Monday to us all. Since I am on 3-11 shift, I can wake up later than 4:45 AM. That is why I can prepare breakfast with no hurry at all or we can have a light breakfast. Today I am sipping a mug of hot cappuccino and eating Nutella sandwich. After eating that piece on top of the loaf of bread I made myself another one, this time, the correct way of sandwich (2 pieces with Nutella spread between ). Do you take a light breakfast even though you have a toxic day ahead?

Hope you have a wonderful day. I don't have toxic days anymore and eat nothing until after my morning exercise.

Oh, you like Nutella! We don't like that. My sister-in-law in Australia sent us that and we opened it to eat. But after tasting it not to our liking it stayed in the refrigerator for a long time, until I finally decided to throw it. I always take a light breakfast when I go to work. But during snack time, I already buy viands and eat an early lunch. Lunchtime will be napping for 15 minutes, then after that watching Blood Sisters.

@ridingbet I don't like peanut butter also in sandwich. I am not into sweet sandwich spreads. I like cheezwiz, butter, cheese and liver spread. I also make the tuna spread. I also like putting sardines in my pandesal. I also like sweet filling like jelly, but I have to spread butter first on the bread then spread on top those jellies or marmalade. That way, the taste of the butter and the marmalade is fighting and it's so delicious.

@SIMPLYD oh, i like all of the above mentioned spreads you stated here. i like the youngstown sardines as my 'palaman', and if we have a strawberry jam and butter or margarine, i could make myself a club sandwich.

but haven't you heard of the proverb to" eat like a king for breakfast and eat like a pauper for dinner'? we should have a heavy breakfast because we are actually BREAKING the FAST after a night-long fasting or no food. we should also eat light for dinner because we are not doing anything but sleep. unless you are on graveyard shift.

I always have a light breakfast, this morning we had yogurt with fruits and a home made muffin. When I serve bread and jam is usually only one toasted slice of bread.

Wow, you woke up early. I prefer heavy meal for breakfast so I don't have to eat rice for dinner.

@ridingbet Yeah, you needed to wake up early because of your work. I think it's advisable to eat a heavy meal for breakfast because it's the most important meal of a day you needed more energy in the morning.

It really depends on how my day will go but a light breakfast for me usually consists of just black coffee.

@allen0187 sometimes, i pour very hot water in my mug of coffee, then i let it stand for several minutes, and drink it when it becomes just warm and no longer hot. if i sip on a very hot coffee, i might even burn my tongue

What do you mean by a toxic day?

a toxic day is a day wherein there are truckloads of activities that should be managed and done. the word 'toxic' stemmed from the activities of nurses (toxic duty) in contrast to a fair day as 'benign'.

If my breakfast is too light, I don't have enough fuel to get through the day.
