Do You Use Mobile Banking Apps, Are They Really Safe?

How safe do you feel using mobile banking apps. I am often worried using mobile banking apps as they have permissions to send receive data from our phone. Even the keyboard that you use sends anonymous data to the developers from the background. Even some apps have permissions to read your sms. Even if they assure you that no personal data is sent, how do we trust them because they never confirm what is being sent. Image Credit:- Mine.

If the app is a official app then I wouldn’t get worried but there are times that I decided to uninstall the app after using it to avoid doubts hehe

@nitirrbb7 That’s better to do than to receive “sorry” from the bank haha

I have to use, of course. But not on my phone, I have them on my tablet, as it is much safer as I do not use my tablet often (I think so)

I don't want to scare you but tables and cellphones are one and the same only due to their size they are addressed as tablets. Its good you don't use your tablet often

@nitirrbb7 I mean that since I use it less, I do not open any dangerous sites which can steal my data

I often use these apps. In fact everything is risky. I have to be careful to it and I think it is alright.

Some company just bought my bank. They do not allow mobile banking so I won't have to worry about that. It is probably better that way because phones get lost and someone could snoop around in your finances.

@nitirrbb7 It really limits what you can do when you are out. My old bank had a mobile app.

Yeah that's also the senario, if we lose our cellphones. Its good that the company which brought your bank does not allow mobile banking

I use the official app of my bank. I am satisfied because it is so easy to make transactions and check the money I have. I've never worried about my data protection (yet).
