The Post You've All Been Waiting For: Separating the Vehicles

Separating Two Vehicles Accidentally Parked Too Close Together.

Project "Separate Vehicles" is now complete. Dave used a floor jack to raise the Kia a bit before pushing the vehicles apart a bit at the front. He flattened the back tire (driver's side) on the truck. The video will tell part of the story and show you the plan in action. Unfortunately, the truck slipped off the edge of the concrete block and Dave had a bit of trouble getting it back on because of the flat tire. He had been planning to pump it up, but Hubby's air compressor didn't work. Men! I had told them both that the compressor hadn't been used in years and might not work, but who am I? Just a woman who likes to think ahead. Dave had a compressor he could have brought, but Hubby said he wouldn't need it. Hubby is ever the optimist. I'm attaching the video. (I hope.) The Kia suffered only a few scratches. The mirrors weren't damaged. God was good to us. The truck already had all the body damage you see when Hubby bought it used from a friend for something like $300 years ago. We almost never use it, but sometimes we need something for hauling large things. What do you think of the way Dave solved this problem? Would you have done it differently? Have you ever had a difficult auto problem to solve? Here's the video link: https://youtu.be/sorAS9hBBsw

That's a very clever solution. Good on Dave for coming up with such a creative idea.

@JudyEv Is was pretty tricky. I could never have backed that truck out the way Dave did.

@bagarad I guess there had to be a way but it looked pretty tricky.

You should be able to find it here: If the link won't work, check under my discussions for The End of a Not So Perfect Day. It's not very far down the list.
Yesterday started off just fine for me, but not for Hubby. He hasn't been feeling well, but the state of California doesn't care. We had to have a truck that I...
