I´m back from the party. Everything was nice, from the appetizers to the dessert. All the people invited were wonderful as always. I do feel a little bit stuffed though, saying that I shouldn´t have eaten so much. Tomorrow I will eat as if I was ill. Nothing but a chicken broth maybe. Parties are leaving me. I come home guilty as I eat a lot more than what I eat at home and at the wrong time of the day. In my country, dinners at parties start around 10 PM. How is it where you live? I´ll lie down in bed now. I hope I´m able to sleep. See you tomorrow

In Italy parties start around 8:30 PM, here in Switzerland one hour earlier, in Greece same as in your country.

This party did not end late though as both of my friends are over 80. But at my home, when I have my birthday party, some of my friends leave after the cake is cut (around 11:30 or 12) and then the rest of my friends sort of take possession of my home

This last up to 3 AM. Fortunately, all of them pinch in to wash dishes and I only have to wash some glasses the next day.

@LadyDuck Here some of my friends would feel bad if I did. I have such a party just once every year and they are counting on a special thing.

There were several good things there. And although I did not eat rice on the side and asked for half a piece of cake, it was still too much.

@Courtlynn I eat much less when at home. At some parties, I guess I eat more went I get anxious.

@marguicha but you dont have to eat it all, just because it looks, taste or smells good. Plus, portion.

I eat when I'm hungry and I rarely go to parties because I do not want to travel 30 or 40 miles to get there then have to travel that distance to get back home at night.
