what can you model?

years ago, i lived briefly in a boarding house to be near my workplace. one of the boarders said her sister was a hand model. not only did she have well-shaped hands, but more importantly, that it was always steady. no signs of nervousness during takes. she told me i could be a foot model, and i knew it's impossible. her feet are way prettier than mine. i don't have any outstanding features except my height. but even when i was young and thin and clothes "hung well" on me, i'd rather blend with the crowd. i never liked attracting attention. i also remember being part of a focus group at work, and it was taped. i tried to speak as softly as i can because i happen to be close to the tape recorder. when it was played back, i sounded awful. do you have a physical feature that people always comment on? have you ever been told you could probably earn from it?

People sometimes remark on my dimples. I'm not sure why dimples are so noteworthy. I think I have an awful voice too. I put up a video of my son's goats with me on it and I'm talking and I sounds awful. I nearly didn't put the clip up but the goats were lovely.

i think dimples are like being left-handed. you immediately notice it. you also posted a video with herc as he was going up a ramp or something.

@hereandthere That's right and I had to speak on that too to make sure Vince had finished the video clip.

I dont know too many people who DO like the sound of their own voice. Me included. I hate listening to my own voice on my voicemail or on video or just on any recording. I never listen to my own voiceovers either. :-)

None at all. I have no distinguishing features that could earn me money at all. Though somebody in a photo app accused me of not posting my own feet photo coz they looked perfect. I was offended.

i'm so conscious of my feet i've always worn closed shoes. i also have this constant fear of my toes getting stepped on when i'm out. hehe. but yeah, i'd be offended, too, if i were in your shoes. so did you react or let it go?

I never thought that you can model your hand or feet? heheheh I thought it is always a complete package. You have to model as a whole like in the America's Next Top Model.

My green eyes get a lot of comments, both from men and women. I have nice hands and feet, but I would not like to be a model.

because green is rare, although in some countries it's common, i think, like scotland, iceland and ireland. i know you got your eyes from your father. how about your hands and feet?

@LadyDuck i think i would, too, if it's exclusive and limited like that, and as you said, to help a friend. do you still have copies of those pictures?

@hereandthere I have small feet, regular, nice. Same for my hands. Years ago a friend who owned a boutique in France asked me to wear the clothes of a new collection while she took photos. I did as a favor to a friend.

Not really but I did do a stint of fashion modelling and won a beauty contest in my younger days.

Well people comment on my hands too but somehow I've never thought of being a hand model. Maintenance would be such a hassle you know.

During my skating days, I was often told I had nice shaped legs . Even when I was walking around in shorts, I guess people noticed I must be some sort of athlete. And for my size (short) and stature (small Asian), I am actually a bit "busty" - I don't like to say I was "noticed" for that, but people have commented . But no, never did anyone say I could earn with any of that .

I think I can earn from my speaking, my nose, and my eyebrows. Those are some features I like and I think others will be interested in paying for.

@hereandthere I'm not conscious of my hands. Nothing, I don't do anything special. I do wear gloves but its because I have contact dermatitis, and that's just about it.
