From last two weeks I am not able to sleep. I tried everything reading, watching TV etc but its not helping. It is now effecting my work. I am afraid if I visit doctor he might ask me to take sleeping pills. Any suggestion ??

@neha211985, If you visit a doctor , he will tackle the thing professionally. Mostly doctors don't recommend sleeping pills for insomnia ...there are medications like melatonin which regulates the cycles of your sleep! All the best! Thanks!

Sorry to hear this. Two suggestions. Cut back or eliminate caffeine. Also exercise.

I hope it is not related to stress. It can be a contributory factor.

Do you have some extra stress in your life? Because it can cause sleeping problems.

@neha211985 Do you do any sports? I figured out that it can help me to fall asleep if I had some sports during the day. Sometimes it is not enough to be mentally tired, it is needed to be physically tired, too.
