Got my horror movie Poor Soul posted up on Youtube, accessible by putting my name and the film title in the Youtube search engine. Loading it took forever and really slowed down my web browser for the duration.
I got an e-mail reminder of the looming course in CCTV surveillance work, with a worrying message that I'll be expected to go in again on an unspecified Thursday or Friday to take a maths / English test. I hope this will be next Thursday or Friday and not the ones after that when I'll be away - I thought I had those dates clear when I signed on, but now they could be compromised again by mandatory attendance activity. It is extremely distressing. I'll be fretting all weekend now.
I headed to the training centre to see where it is, and it's quite a walk from the city centre. It may actually not be possible for me to get there on time on the Sunday part of the training on April 8th.

Surveillance work? Would that entail spying on people?

@teamfreak16 no, it would be overt surveillance, while spying is covert work CCTV operators have to have signs up saying cameras are in operation so people know they are likely to be being filmed

@mydanods the clash wouldn't harm the course - it would harm my time away - the course is mandatory. Not going would get my money stopped - I would have to leave the holiday, travel in by train, do the course and then go back to the holiday which will be expensive
