Ireland has no native snakes. Legend has it that Saint Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland. As today, March 17th, is the day that people around the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd share one of many clips that explain a bit about Ireland's National Saint.
This day in 2018 is also the day that Ireland play rugby against England in Twickenham (just outside London, England), in the final of this year's Six Nations Cup - come on Ireland!
Wherever you are, enjoy the celebrations today!

Did you win? I don't follow rugby but have to listen to a couple of blokes at work have a natter about it.

Now I didn't know about snakes and saint Patrick.. We don't celebrate St. Patrick's day at all and I think we don't have Irish people here. But we have Irish potato fries!

"Slow Worms" sure look like snakes to me! But let's call them "legless lizards" so nobody realizes we really have snakes, just like every other place in the world!
Yes, yes, I know "somebody illegally released them" in Ireland in the 1970s

I love the cartoon. "One more word out of any of you and I swear I'm going to pull this car over and you're going to have to slither!"
