Just look at the video then comment here. I await your responses.
The weather changes causing shorter rainfall periods but more intense rainfall can make a big difference for growing crops in many places on earth.
Climate change and global warming affect more than the climate. Major shifts have rippling effects across industries. What does climate change contribute to ...

We are going to face a crisis in the future for sure, but I believe we have the technology and ingenuity to come up with solutions. However, the reality of the world as we know it will be that the wealthy and industrialized countries will have plenty of food, and the less fortunate countries will be left starving. I hope we can overcome greed and learn to share our resources wisely with everyone.

There have always been food shortages in some areas and abundances in other areas. It will continue to the end.

@lookatdesktop What is interesting is that in Montreal now we are able to grow crops inside in winter which was not possible even just a couple of years ago. We are very resourceful. What we are not, is very ready to work together and share the abundance to offset the shortages in other areas.

@1hopefulman , that is sad. Maybe things will work out sooner than later. People need to learn to be more caring and not so selfish by not being so willing to share the abundance as you put it.

We are quickly loosing viable soil in areas where it provided essential abundances of crops but greed has wasted much of that land away for profits to gather minerals for rapid consumption.
Experts point to damage caused by erosion and pollution, raising major concerns about degraded soil amid surging global demand for food

It is an interesting video. The British speaker shown in the thumbnail speaks pertinently : there would be no food shortage if food was globalized, as many areas can adapt their production to a climate change. But it is not the case and the desertification of some areas will create a big problem for some states.

This video is quite educative and well presented. We have to be prepared to act faster and have a global solution and react to the challenges than pretend all be hunky dory all the time.
