Down to basics, the humble bologna sandwhich.

I can take a thick slice of bologna and fry it up in an iron skillet, then pour hot barbeque sauce on it and make a nice sandwich for lunch. I will have a glass of tea with this and a slice of dill pickle. The same thing can be done with a thick slab of ham. I have even tried cooking hot dogs, in a frying pan, slit in half along the length of the hot dog, and added butter and barbecue sauce. Diced onion sprinkled generously on the dog in a plate along with ranch style beans and a few hot yeast rolls. Barbecue adds more punch to food. I do not put barbecue sauce on chicken tenders, because they seem to taste best when dipped into honey mustard, hot honey mustard, in a small cup. But then some people will argue that they like barbecue sauce on their steak. Not me. When it comes down to a good steak, nothing better on that than a tiny bit of salt and pepper. But for many, the hot dog, the frankfurter, the sausage, is eaten with just a little mustard and sweet relish. I got that. That is also a nice combo. Here's a good quick YouTube for you to look at.

These Saucy BBQ Hot Dogs are simmered in BBQ sauce before they are grilled. It gives the hot dogs an incredible sweet and savory flavor.

@just4him , Now I do not say that bologna is a thing to eat all the time, but ya know, every now and then as a bit of a change of pace, what the heck? I might give one of those a try. I do however, need to watch my weight. They took the nitrates and nitrites out of some of the brands of bologna and hot dogs and that makes them a lot healthier or rather, less full of extra unwanted chemicals.
I'll be honest. I want your email address. I promise not to do anything weird with it! I'll even send you a copy of my e-book Saturated Fat *IS* Healthy! YES! SEND IT TO ME.Food Renegadechallenging politically correct nutritionHOMERECIPESSHOPPING GUIDEBASI

@lookatdesktop thinks you might just like this video about Memphis style barbecue bologna, but you can take sausage links and cut them to bite sized pieces and put them in a pan, after they are already cooked first, then in a pan, over a low heat, add as much bbq sauce you like until you have basically the same flavor as those bbq little sausages they have on game night, but the video is about bologna cooked with bbq sauce. Enjoy!

U might like this article. I think you will.
"The problem right now is that there is no such thing as artisanal bologna," said avowed bologna fan David Chang in his GQ column back in March. "This blows my mind—we have craft doughnuts, beet pickles, beef jerky...but no bologna?" Wrong, David, my frien

Certain brands are better than others. If you do decide, your best bet will be somewhere between Oscar Meyer and Wunderbar!
