Dismantling Patio

patio
Philippines

My elder cousin who used to live here built this years ago. The agreement at first was to make a roof for the back yard kitchen sink but instead he created a patio in the second floor. It was good at first until he went back to province and this was left unattended. It got worst after years of typhoons. It finally got infested by termites so much I was afraid to go up. The flooring and what's remained of the stairs had been removed with all of whatever furniture and other stuff.

Don't you have plans to renovate that patio?

Hello @Jessabuma The plan was to upgrade it since the wood can be use for support. But over time other things were more prioritized.

I think if you have any ideas for renovation, you should not use any of the wood left over from the old one,as there may be termites in them.

That is dangerous .. Maybe better to pull it down all together as the termites will find their way into the rest of the house..

Hello @cintol He should have followed what was instructed instead of turning it into a wooden patio.

That's a shame that the patio hasn't been maintained.

Oh boy that's not good the termites made it so unsafe. Have you gotten an exterminator to get rid of them? Are you tearing the rest of it down today or is it finished now?

@Letranknight2015 That is good that it was removed. What are you going to do with that area now?

Hello @rheicel The budget is the problem here and that's why we can't have it yet renovated.

@Letranknight2015 Yes, that's the no. 1 problem the budget. Maybe you can save money for it so next year it will be renovated.
