Recently I did a post about my phone service being out of whack for days. Well, two tech's finally showed up and did a thorough investigation inside the house and then went to check the wiring under the house and guess what?? Yup, I was right all along. There was a short in the wires.
Now if the previous tech's had 'bothered' to do that, I would have had service sooner. I was so tickled that I told the guys, "Thank you so much; if I was younger, I'd take you both to the bedroom."
Now mind you, they laughed their butts off. On Sunday when I told my sister about it all and what I had said to the tech's; she went nutso saying, "You are disgusting and that was totally inappropriate; you are mentally unstable."
I told her it was a joke and that the tech's knew that. Then she reamed me out for two straight hours talking about how rude I am. Geez!!!! If anybody should know my sense of humor it should be her.

Well I certainly wouldn't say stuff like that, but glad they knew it was a joke.

@Courtlynn A real one. Back in the 70's I worked in a night club doing Pantomime's and comedy. It was some of the most fun in my whole life.

@Courage7 And I say this 'off-the-wall' stuff all the time. If I didn't have humor, I definitely would be a nut-case. At least the guys appreciated it. lol

I'm glad you got the problem fixed. I wouldn't have joked with them as you did. Instead I would have asked for the name of their supervisor and told them I wanted to let him or her know how efficient and thorough they had been in finding the problem the other techs had missed. That might actually do them some good.

Anyway Nanette, that WAS pretty funny and I am sure totally unexpected by the workmen. But as one knows, age is relative, so your not to old, unless you happen to be a wedge of cheese
