Norton Security - auto renewal - DO YOU AUTO RENEW YOUR INTERNET SECURITY?

Do you choose to auto-renew your internet security? Several 3rd party anti malware and antivirus and internet security programs are free and several cost you. Most of the ones that cost you money have an annual subscription rate. Norton Security Deluxe, for instance lasts for one year, and if you choose not to auto renew you may miss out on certain extra features that are not provided to the one time user who doesn't plan on renewing after a year. But for those who choose to AUTO-RENEW their annual subscription, it costs $89.99 and renewal is one month ahead of the actual renewal deadline. If you choose to opt - out the auto renewal then you will not get protection at the end of that period unless you purchase another subscription of the internet security software they offer. I may choose to auto-renew my subscription for $89.99 a year for Norton Security so I don't go unprotected but for some it may seem like a better deal to use only the free anti-virus and internet security and anti-malware products that either come from 3rd party vendors or you have Windows 10 installed and already have the FREE Windows Defender in your computer and don't want anything else. If I choose to opt - out of auto-renewal for my annual payment for another year of uninterrupted service from Norton Security Deluxe, I still have that option until before April 12th, of this year. If I choose to opt out, my subscription period will end on May 2nd, of this year. I have a little bit of time to consider my options. Either I stop using Norton Security software and go with the Windows Defender that comes FREE with Windows 10, or I opt to buy a 3rd party or use a free version. The ones you pay for are just about the same price as Norton by the way. I can remain on the AUTO RENEWAL and pay $89.99 for another year of Norton Security Deluxe. I may go that route. It all depends on what I learn from my online search results and the customer reviews of the various applications for internet security out there and which ones are the highest rated. Do the Free versions of internet security do enough? You can read more below from this link and consider your options and find out.
Antivirus? Antispam? Malware protection? What do you really need to keep your PC safe? We tested, reviewed, and rated nearly 50 security suites, and these 10 get top marks and our highest recommendation.

I have used all free after the initial ones expire, I have done this for about 20 years and have never had a problem and I research a lot of things so I'm all over the net.

I found a new link you might like.
Norton Security Deluxe is perfect for individuals or couples seeking flawless, no-frills protection, but those who want parental controls or extra features should look elsewhere.

@Ithink , No problemo. I have already purchased another year's subscription to Norton Security Deluxe for Windows and I am happy with that. I would much rather using a highly rated security suite like Norton Security than risk any loss of data from my trusted PC. However, since you mentioned that you have used a free service software to protect your computer, that shows me that you indeed want to keep your system working safe and sound. Here is a list of the free ones that are highly ranked.
Even if you're running Windows 10, you shouldn't rely on Microsoft's security tools. Many free third-party apps are more effective at keeping you safe. We've tested 17 no-cost AV services to help you find the right one for protecting your PC.

That is wonderful. I too am using Norton. They are highly ranked among the most popular and effective forms of internet security, with anti-virus and spam protection as well as Safe Web and Safe Search add-ons for browsers.

McAfee came with my computer, but I opted out of that one as I have Avast free and it works fine for me.

Comcast? Did I get that right? Yes, I have heard that. So, your internet service provider offers a free internet security for you with the service they provide? Not bad.

My husband takes care of all of that on our computers but I know we have a subscription we pay for and they send us notice the month before its up and then we go in and pay for it again. No auto renewal as my husband won't store our credit info on those sites

I don't do the auto renewal. Don't do auto anything! But I have Webroot, and my thing was going to expire on April 10th. So last night I went and renewed it so that I don't have to worry about it the next few days.
